Here's the article I wrote for Eros Zine about Marquis' Fetish Evolution in Essen, Germany--it's a rambling account of me trying to piece together hazy bits of my memory. HA!

Thursday, March 24th
Me and Kumi got up at the ungodly hour of 8AM--blech! A few people began trickling into the hotel for the event (it was still a day before everything was set to begin). We ran into Martin Perreault & Bianca Beauchamp. They were both so jetlagged and poor Bianca wasn't feeling well, so they pretty much retreated to their room for most of the day (can't say I blame them!).
Me and Kumi set out to explore some of Essen and wound up at a nice little restaurant where we tried to decifer the menu. Now, I'm an ovo-lacto vegetarian who eats fish--so eating in German speaking countries is REALLY difficult for me since everything is meat-based and Germany is NOT a good country to eat fish in. Anyway, I ignored this and ordered some tuna while Kumi got some soup and lamb. The waiter came back and served me the most well done tuna steak I've ever had--it didn't even taste like tuna (I like mine raw or just barely cooked!), with Kumi's soup--her lamb never arrived!!! So this got me to panicing--was my tuna really lamb???? LOL!!! So Kumi tried some of my fish to make sure, that it was, in fact tuna--it was that unrecognizable!!! I love Germany but I still stand by the notion that I think all the food in that country sucks!!!!! I just wind up eating mushroom pizza when I'm there because that's the only thing I can bear--even the salads are coated in oil and greasy!!! After eating we just wandered around a bit before heading back to the hotel.
I checked into my seperate room I'd be sharing with Storm who arrived later that day--so Kumi could share her room with her French boy who was visting her--I could hear their humping through the wall!!! HAHAH!
Others, like Rubber Eva and her husband Paul, my friends Mistress Sandra and Harald from HW Designs, all arrived that evening. The evening quickly became a huge drunken-fest in the hotel lobby, with the whole gang, old friends and new--passing around bottles of Vodka and JD all night!
Me and Kumi continued to tease the concierge, who came over to drink with all of us after his shift--we found out he was 22 and NEWLY MARRIED with a 8 week old son!!! We were like "why the hell are you hanging out with us then--go home to your family!!" Instead he tried to mack out on me--YUCK!!! How tacky!!! Seriously, some men are pigs....!!! I feel bad for his wife and his child :( Plus, I was like--"Don't you see the ring on my finger?" Men, DUH, seriously!

Düsseldorf, Wednesday, March 23rd
Me and Kumi flew into Düsseldorf and took the U Bahn to Essen, where the event hotel was located. It was damn hard carrying all that luggage on the train! Once we got to Essen we both said "fuck it" and took a taxi to the hotel. Here's where the mischief began. We checked into the room and proceeded to move in. The concierge seemed quite taken with us, which continued throughout the weekend, so we decided to fuck with him a bit, being the naughty classless fetish models that we are. LOL
We were the ONLY people at the hotel for the party (we came a day early), so we pretty much had the run of the place and headed to the bar for a few drinks. I was still a bit jet-lagged so I got tired after about 2 drinks so we both went up to the room for a quick nap. Sometime while I was still napping Kumi ordered some room service for us and when it arrived the same concierge brought it to the door, which Kumi answered naked--HAHAHAHAH!!!! Then she made him come in and put the food on the table, where he then saw me lying presumably naked on the bed--he didn't know what to do!!!! I think he turned bright red!!!
We had these grand plans for going out on the town that evening, but sometime after eating our food, we both just suddenly passed out for the night--BOO! Anyway, it was probably for the best since we needed our rest for the next few days!

Well, it took all weekend, 1 coat of primer and 3 coats of paint but now my bedroom is a deep garnet red! Now all that's left to do is paint the trim and build shelves for my shoe collection (LOL), and sometime after I get back from Europe again I can start on the living room.
Lemme just say that being on a mini-haitus from shooting for 2 weeks (until I get to Europe on the 7th) is really nice, even though I'm still doing a lot of work. It's nice to take a little break now and again (don't worry they'll be plenty of updates this week though!) Me and Nicholas have been in this apartment since last May, so it's nice to finally have some time to re-decorate. Can you believe I haven't had an entire weekend at home since early February??? GAH!
In other news, I've got a bad case of the sniffles. I thought it was allergies but it appears to be some sort of full blown cold. Oh well--better here than in Europe!!! I got so sick after the German Fetish Ball last year that I had to go to the doctor in Berlin and I was sick in bed for a week! I'll be damned before I let that happen again!

London, Tuesday, March 22nd
Kumi tried to get me out of bed I think around noon to go latex shopping with her on Holloway Road. She even made me tea to try to get me going but I was just not having it! I think I was severely jetlagged and still on West Coast time (3 days in NYC did nothing for my internal clock). I didn't wake up until 6 PM when Tony Mitchell called me to make dinner plans. I can't believe I slept the whole day away!
Well, I made up for it that night. I dragged myself out of bed, showered and put on an amazing bra that made everyone exclaim "OMG did you get your breasts done already?" (horray for PMS and the wonder bra), a tiny little top and some swank pinstripe pants. I headed to the tube station where Tony and my lovely friend Helen Lane were picking me up. We drove to a bar in SOHO called Lupo's that we always go to when I'm in town, right down the street from Paradiso. Kumi was already waiting for us there, Jack Daniels in hand. A couple of martinis later, I was already on the road to being wasted (I forgotten that I had JUST woken up and hadn't eaten yet--DUH!!).
After drinks we all headed to a nearby Spanish and tapas restaurant where we met up with Skin Two's layout designer, Michael Fearnley. We all noshed on garlic shrimps (which were mighty delish), bread, paella, and other wonderful things, topping everything off with some champagne (which helped me to get even more drunk -- thank god for the food!!! Kumi left a bit early since she was tired, so the rest of us just hung out for a little bit until Tony dropped us all off at our respective flats. It was a really great night just hanging out with friends I hardly ever get to see!
London, Wednesday, March 23rd
I didn't get to bed until 4AM and Kumi woke me up at 5:30 AM packing for Germany so I couldn't fall back asleep (this getting up ungodly early thing was to become a theme this trip). It was all good though, we finished packing and had to catch a cab to Liverpool street to catch the Stansted Express to the airport for our flight to Düsseldorf, carrying way too much luggage! Our flight was delayed when we arrived for over an hour (this seems to be a recurring thing with me and Air Berlin), so we hung out in the cafe and ate some lunch and poked around in duty-free. An hour later, we boarded the plane, drank Bloody Marys and headed to Germany!

Ugh, I just wrote this entire entry and then my browser crashed and I lost it! Here I go again...
Well, when I got back from LA I planned to spend the following 3 days (3/18-20) relaxing at home with Nicholas and cuddling my 3 kitties, but that was apparently not to be. I had so much work to do for the site and my Europe trip that I had barely a moment to breathe and was working right up until my flight! No fair!
NYC & London Monday, March 21st
I got up after one hour of sleep and headed to JFK airport, thinking that getting there 2 hours in advance would be sufficient. Unfortunately I was wrong!!! I didn't realize that it was Easter week and everyone and their family was traveling. UGH! I got there and the line was all the way outside of the terminal! I almost missed my flight since security was just as bad too!
I arrived at Heathrow around 8:30 PM, and took the tube all the way to Whitechapel (since I'm a cheapass and the exchange rate sucks), so by the time I got through customs and got to my destination with my 60 pounds of luggage, it was almost midnight. I was so tired when I got to the flat (thanks Mildred, Diz, Monkey and the gang for letting me crash!). My partner in crime Kumi showed up from her shoot a bit later and we all hung out a bit, ate some food, drank some booze and headed to bed.

Los Angeles, March 15
A certain bad boy had to cancel our shoot for the day--which was actually really cool since I needed a day off to relax. I went to go get a mani/pedi with Steen, then we picked up Sinnamon Love and went shopping in downtown LA for $5 shoes and stuff--I got a couple of really cute things and also bought the ugliest pair of shoes EVER--and when I say they're ugly--I mean U-G-L-Y!!!! They're so gross they're beautiful! I think I'm gonna design new latex around them! (everyone made fun of them--but you'll see--I'll make 'em jealous!)
My memory is getting a little hazy around this time because all this happened over a month ago!!! That night I hung out with Miss Conduct, who was cat-sitting for Persephone. We both had a 7AM call at Gwen Media the next morning--so we tried to behave as best we could but, as you can probably figure--we did not!
Los Angeles, March 16
Me and Miss Conduct had to get up at the buttcrack of dawn to be picked up by Jon and Amber of Gwen Media to start filming my new film with them I'm starring in called "Glitches". Miss Conduct and Ariel X also star in it. It's gonna be so awesome when it comes out! It was a LONG LONG day of filming but it was so much fun--I love working with such a great team of people--it's less like work and more like play! This movie is gonna be hot--lots of stylized latex, fast cuts, lots of BDSM and some good old fashioned girls making out while peeling ourselves out of latex!
Los Angeles, March 17th
Ah, St. Patty's day and my last day in town. Jon and Amber picked me up to go back to Gwen Media to shoot some content for both our sites (some I already put up--but there's even hotter stuff to come!). Miss Conduct was supposed to come as well but I couldn't wake her up!!! She didn't hear me calling--LOL! Oh well...lol she needed the sleep! Since I was surronded by the Irish, so to speak --we started drinking Guinness right away! I was blasted by the end of the shoot! HA! Afterward, I had to catch my flight back to NYC that was leaving at 9PM--Bob was kind enough to drive me to the airport in his hot mustang!!! It was hard going through airport security so blasted!!!!! Luckily my flight was empty and I was able to stretch out and relax :) And that's the end of my West Coast trip! Now the Europe diary can begin!

Los Angeles, March 14th
For the latter part of my trip, I was staying with my favorite photographer and good friend Christine Kessler and her husband, Jason. I stayed at the house while the lovely Paige Richards and Angela Ryan stayed across the street at her studio.
I started out the morning shooting two sets with Angela (coming to the member's section soon!), and then I shot two solo sets with Steen (one of which is already up on the site)! The first set with Angela is a pantyhose encasement set and the second is a cute little set where I play Angela's "big daddy"--I'm in pinstripes and she's in cute lingerie (I make her strip for me!). Both sets are really fun! I always have so much fun working with Steen--we have such great chemistry when we work together! After the solo sets, Angela came back over and we shot the silly Easter Peeps set with Amy Rivera .
At that point is was getting really late and Paige just got back from her day at Gwen Media, so a bunch of us went out to dinner and had a few drinks--I was still a little partied out from the weekend before!

LA/San Francisco, March 11
I woke up at 10:30AM thinking we were gonna head out to SF soon (a whole bunch of us were driving up from LA in a huge SUV). HAHA! NOT! The party was raging the night before and not many of us got much sleep so everyone was tired and everything took forever to get started. (I'm lucky because I can always get out of driving because I have no licencse!).
Well, one thing lead to another and we didn't get on the road to SF until like 5PM--then we drove the wrong direction in LA traffic and went 1 1/2 hours out of the way!!!!
Anyway, the trip was fun. We decided we weren't gonna make it to Club Enslaved that night since we'd get in very late and have no time to get ready. We made a lot of stops on the way to SF and got really punchy by the time we were close to the city. Before we headed into SF, we all stopped by my fav redhead's place, Miss Conduct and hung with her a bit before we headed to our dive hotel in the city! We got into SF at 2AM!!!!
Me, Storm, Venus, Gear, Louis from AMF Korsets, Aprella & Lana were all staying at the same place so it was fun even though the hotel was a total dive--at least no one complained about us making noise!!! HA!
San Francisco, March 12
This was the day of the ball--I had a shoot that morning so I got up early and headed to meet the photographer who was lucikly only staying about 3 blocks away. The shoot went well, then I headed to the hotel next door to get fitted for some new latex by Laura from Vex. A whole group of us went out for sushi and then I headed back to my hotel for a quick shower before I had to be at the venue. I was modeling for Puimond and was wearing a beautiful croc and leather corset--the makeup artist gave me an ethereal face I wasn't accustomed to and the hairstylist teased up my hair big so I looked wild! The night and the show were fun but honestly it wasn't my favorite event--I think it's because I was stuck backstage waiting all night--don't get me wrong--that was fun and I got to hang out with a lot of friends I never get to see--I just would have liked to have been able to dance and see the party more. Unfortunately, the music was AWFUL!!!! I didn't get to even see the party until like 2AM! BAH!
We all decided not to go to the after party and instead raised hell at the hotel.
San Francisco, March 13.
Hangover. Drive back to LA. 'nough said!

Los Angeles, March 9th
After a little bit of sleep since the shoot the night before went on until 5AM--I got out of bed and scrubbed all of the bodypaint off of my body--I even had to enlist the help of my friend Storm to come into the shower with me to get all the paint off my back!!! This may sound erotic, but really it wasn't!!! She had to scrub HARD!!! After that, I put on some clothes, got some food with my friends Gear and Storm, and they headed to drop me off at Jeffrey Scott's place. From the minute I walked in I knew the shoot would be intense! We had talked for a while about doing a 1920's themed shoot and that's what we did--he even indulged my wish to be turned into Fritz Lang's Metropolis robot, Maria (my all time fav movie). But before we got to the robot stuff, I shot some corsetry by Exquisite Restraint with Donna Ricci. Here's a sample from that session--Catherine Crump did the makeup:

After shooting with Jeffrey for almost 8 hours, Stephen McClure picked me up and we headed to his place to do more shooting--his makeup artist did some great things and Stephen covered me in 2 gallons of honey!!!! Enough said!!! Stay tuned for that! I was soooo tired after our shoot (but I smelled really good), that when I got home at 2 AM I PASSED OUT!
Los Angeles, March 10th
Early my friend Contessa picked me up and we headed down to the OC for my shoot with David Hickey & Catherine Crump was my MUA again for this shoot--she is fabulous! I shot some new Vex stuff and did a sick little set of me playing with some Barbies in a naughty little trans pink tank dress! You'll have to stay tuned for that!!!!!
When we got back to LA there was a rockin' house party going on at Venus and Gear's place--much drinking and cavorting went on that night that we almost didn't make it to San Francisco the next day!
